Mario Antonio Rocher, age 85 of Orlando, passed away March 3, 2017. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico in 1932. Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 65th Infantry Regiment. Mario received a degree in Engineering from The University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez in 1958. He also graduated from the InterAmericana University School of Law in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1973. He was married to Carmen Olivieri on December 27, 1953. Mario had a career as a Civil Engineer in the private sector and later with the Federal Government in Chicago. He had also served as an Assistant District Attorney in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a member of American Legion; the National Society of Professional Engineers and the College of Jurists of Puerto Rico. Mario had a passion for singing, music, reading, and model airplanes. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Carmen; Children, Mario, Jr., Julio and wife Marian, and Victor and wife Amelia; Grandchildren, Johanna and husband Rony, Crystal and husband Chris, Michael, Victor and wife Rachel, Roderic, Carl, Catherine and husband Trever, and Alexander; Great-grandchildren, Kenya, Samuel, and Miah; sisters Carmen Josefa, Milagros, Sister in law, Nayda, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
