McGlasson, Marion 87, of Winter Park and Tavares, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 after a 10 year battle with Lewy Body Syndrome. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McGlasson, and is survived by children Cynthia, Joel Douglas, Scott and 2 grandchildren. Active in her church, Marion was an avid birdwatcher, nature photographer, and a life long pianist who loved life to its fullest. As an Air Force wife, she touched and trained many during her career as a civilian nurse on military bases across the US and overseas. As an Air Force mother, she unfailingly made a loving and secure home for her family at each new military assignment. Humble of heart and strong in her faith, Marion was a brave and shining spirit who will live on in memories of her family, friends, patients, and coworkers. A visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 23, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park. Marion requested that, at her death, she be remembered with "all nature's flowers that I loved but couldn't enjoy during my life because of my allergies." She also asked that nobody wear colors of mourning.
