Mary graduated from Woodrow Willson High School in 1952. She married William C. Rusnak Sr on May 18th, 1957.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, her daughter Karen, her parents Virginia and Charles and her sisters Jane and Lillian and her brothers Charles, Joseph, Robert and Francis.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (Rusnak) Ulrich and her son William Rusnak Jr. and her grandchildren Rita Marie and Richard Ulrich.
Mary passed on May 18th 2026 and was the last of seven children. During her adult life Mary was a devoted wife and caregiver to her family. She was involved heavily in supporting The Arc of Camden County, an organization providing services and training to persons with disabilities. She was passionate in her support because two of her children, Karen and William Jr. were both disabled from birth. She also supported Special Olympics and believed in giving disabled children the opportunities to experience life without boundaries. She held onto that belief not only because of her two children but because of her grandson Richard who was also mentally disabled. During her life she supported many religious causes and her faith in God was important to her and helped her through the death of her husband from cancer. During their lives together she and William and Bill and Karen traveled by RV to all 49 states in North America. That time together was one of her most precious memories. She was likewise proud of her daughter Kathleen’s work on the space program and her granddaughter Rita’s graduation from Florida State University. Unfortunately, later in life dementia started to rob Mary of her memories as well as her independence.
Towards the end of her life she found peace, joy and acceptance at Arden Court, a memory care facility where she passed peacefully in her sleep on what would have been her sixty-ninth wedding anniversary.
