

Omer H. Clark, 92 years old, died on Monday, April 13, 2015. Born in Celina, TN, in 1922, he was a resident of Maitland and had previously lived in Winter Park, Orlando, and in Connersville, Indiana. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ethel Clark. During WWII, he served in France, Germany, the Philippines, and Japan in the Army Corps of Engineers, 361st Division. He also served during the Korean Conflict, achieving the rank of Sergeant, First Class. He was a 70 year member of the Masonic Lodge. As a licensed electrical contractor, most of his career involved the manufacture and installation of neon and electrical signs. He owned Clark Sign Co. in Connersville for 25 years, and after moving to Central Florida in 1972, he worked for Boone Sign Co. and Don Bell, among others, before retiring in 1995 at the age of 72.
He is survived by three daughters: Kathy Thomas (John) of Westfield, IN, Karen Stevenson (Dave) of Orlando, and Connie Clark (Dave Behel) of Maitland. A sister, Billie Evans of Zionsville, IN survives. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a multitude of friends also survive. A brother, Harold T. Clark, and a sister, Ann Stevens are deceased.
Services will be held at First Christian Church, 1140 South Lakemont Avenue, Winter Park, on Friday, April 17, with viewing at 10:00 and service beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Palm Cemetery in Winter Park. Memorials can made to the First Christian Church of Winter Park or to the National Parkinson Foundation at 200 SE 1st.
