

Ray left Goodman at the age of 17 and joined the Marines to serve our country for 3 years. He then went into the Air Force and served our country for 18 more years. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and fought in two wars, the Korean War and Vietnam. He moved to Orlando and celebrated a career at Walt Disney World for 25 years as a mechanic and various other positions. He retired from Disney. He was very active in his church, Delaney Street Baptist Church.
He married Janice Brown on December 28, 2002. He enjoyed all types of metal detecting, cruises and traveling.
Ray is survived by his second wife Janice Brown, brother Robert Brown (Janet), sister Cheryl Thom;
his children: Raymond Tiggis (Loren); Linda Williams (Jim); Donna Myers; his grandchildren: Aleshia Rowel (David); Christopher Gouge (Becky); Cassidy Myers, Marshall Tiggis; Elvie Tiggis; Elija Tiggis; great grandchildren: Addison Rowell, Lindley Ray, Ellie Mae, Layla Ford, Lettie Ford. And extended family: Tina (Richard) Hornung; Greg (Toy) Merkle; Craig (Tammi) Saari; Tonya (Cason) Go.
He was preceded in death by Chiyoko Brown (first wife).
A funeral service for Raymond will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Delaney Baptist Church, 1919 Delaney Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32806. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32789.
