

She was born in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Russell Welch and Geraldine Marie Thyer. Becky grew up around Bellville, Illinois, and went on to dedicate her life to education and helping others.
She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, specializing in teaching. She later continued her education and received a Doctor of Education degree from Florida State University in 1983.
During her long career as an educator, Becky taught nearly every grade level and supported thousands of children and adults. She was known as a caring yet firm teacher who deeply believed in education, preparation, and personal growth.
After retiring from teaching, Becky became a realtor, business owner, and landlord. Her passions centered around helping others, working in her garden, becoming a master gardener, and advocating for healthy lifestyle changes to support fellow seniors.
Becky was previously married to Ron Randle, Ronald Lee Bunch, and another former spouse before finally meeting Joseph Granchay, with whom she has shared a close friendship and loving partnership since 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette Bryant; her sons, Kevin Bunch and Chris Bunch; her grandchildren, Noah, Brianna, Spencer, and Elliott; and her longtime partner, Joseph Granchay.
Becky was the eldest of four daughters and is also survived by her sisters, Alice Welch and Claudia McGrath-Welch. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, at Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod/Winter Park Funeral Home. 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792.
Afterward, her urn and memorial marker will be placed beside her father at Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
