Orlando, Florida – On June 19, 2021, Robert Ely Frederick passed away peacefully at Orlando Regional Medical Center with his son Jim by his side. He was born on July 4th 1935 and always joked that he loved all the fireworks displays which helped him celebrate his special day. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Ely and Stanley Frederick.
He was a graduate of Albany Academy and attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Bob was born and raised in Altamont, NY. Early on, he worked as a car salesman and then was employed by Tech Hughes in Watervliet, NY as a Production Manager, from which he retired after many years of service.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Aleta (Lee) and his children Bob (Alicia) of Orlando, Florida, Tom (Kathryn) of Voorheesville, NY, Jim (Nancy) of East Greenbush, NY and Step-daughter Terry (Jack) Conroy of Clifton Park, New York. He is also survived by his ex-wife and friend Mary Alice Frederick. He has nine Grandchildren, seven Great-Grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his brother Stanley Frederick and step-son Ronald Connery, Jr.
Bob loved boating and fishing on Lake George, and riding his motorcycle back in the day, but what he enjoyed the most was being with his family. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events just like he was for his own children when they were younger. He was also an avid Yankee’s fan and adored his little dog Peanut.
A celebration of his life is being planned for a future date.
