Robert Haynes Sanderson

Robert Haynes Sanderson of Orlando passed away at age 85 on Feb 21, 2017. Son of Herbert Converse Sanderson and Ruth Fulton Haynes, Robert was a lifetime resident of Orlando. A devoted husband and loving father he is survived by his wife, Anne McCall Sanderson and sons Steven Crandall, Doug Crandall, Bob Sanderson, Jr., Dan Sanderson, daughters Sherry Sanderson Seabolt, Cathy Crandall Masters and Jane Sanderson Lee. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sue Sanderson Fory. Robert was also a Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Robert was the owner of local businesses, Sanderson’s Nursery and Racquetball South for many years. He had a passion for coaching little league baseball, taking his local team to the World Series in 1977. He was the President of the Orlando Athletic Association and a graduate of the University of Virginia in 1953.

There will be a visitation on Friday, February 24th from 4 to 7 PM at the Church of the Messiah, 241 North Main Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 25th at 1 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando, FL 32804. A gathering at Rosalind Women’s Club will follow.
