

Lee is survived by his two daughters, Kathryn Baer and Sherri Askew, grandson Jordan Askew and beautiful great granddaughter Blair Askew. He is also survived by loving nieces Kim Naples and Michelle Johnston and nephews Michael Greenslit, Scott Greenslit (d.2016), Glenn Stauffer.
Proceeded in death; his loving wife Patricia Dunkin (d.2017), sister Edna Lou Walker (d. 1998), Brother William (d. 1937), Parents William F. Dunkin (d. 1947), Katherine Dunkin Bowen (d. 1981) and George Bowen d. (1983). Lee was born in Wichita, Kansas; as a young child, he had a paper route and joined the United States Air Force in 1947.
In 1956, he met the love of his life Patricia Lee Hunt and married her on July 27th, 1957.
During his military career he was stationed in Texas, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Ohio, Florida and Georgia. After 20 years & five days he retired and brought his family to Orlando, Florida, to settle down in 1969.
He worked for Orlando Utilities Commission for one year, the United States Postal Service for more than 25 yrs. and graduated from Jones College. At the young age of 56; he retired a second time.
He was able to devote more time to his second love of 55, 56 & 57 Chevrolets, he restored 15 cars and a Pontiac during his lifetime. He had the honor of being a judge at car shows, drive his own cars in the Walt Disney Parades and displayed them in area car shows. For 30+ years he attended the Hersey Car Show in Hershey, PA. Traveled to most of the 50 states and abroad. He had other interests with his wife Pat; collecting coins, estate sales, car clubs, ping pong, bowling, fishing, Bob Carr usher, Bahia Shriners and was a Master Mason. He was a Sheppard in First Baptist Church Easter program in Orlando and traveled to England to perform.
In 2018, he sold his home of 51 yrs to live at Brookdale Conway Assisted Living. In 2020, due to Covid, he moved in with his daughter, Sherri, until his unexpected passing. He lived a wonderful life & will be missed by his family and friends.
