William M. Rishoi

William Martin Rishoi, 63, of Maitland, passed away on May 13, 2011, from neuroendocrine cancer. He was born in Huron, South Dakota, to Phyllis and Stan Rishoi. Bill moved with his family to Maitland in 1963. He attended Maitland Middle School and Winter Park High School where he formed friendships that would remain with him throughout his life. Bill was a great athlete who played football, basketball, and baseball. After graduating from Winter Park High School in 1966, Bill attended Florida State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Bill had many fond memories of his years in Tallahassee including being a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and playing intramural sports. Bill also attended law school at Florida State University. After graduation, he returned to Maitland and practiced law for 28 years with Snyderburn, Rishoi & Swann. He enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, and spending time at the beach with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam; his daughter, Kristin; his brothers, Tom and Stan; sisters-in-law, Nellie and Lisa; and nieces, Maria, Andrea and Stacey. Bill felt fortunate to have made many friends throughout his lifetime. We will all miss his one of a kind laugh, his competitive spirit, and his gift for making others feel special. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
