Zelphia "Bobbi Jo" Walker

Zelphia (Bobbi Jo) Reed Walker passed away on July 15, 2025. Born in Hueysville, Kentucky to American Indian parents, Hiram and Donna Reed, she was one of 10 children who all helped work on their small farm. She grew up in Ohio and worked at Shelby Mutual Insurance Company where she met her future husband, Donald Walker. Don was transferred to Florida where they spent their years together in Winter Park raising Vicki, Steve and Stan. Bobbi Jo has worked with mentally challenged kids, volunteered at Sunland Hospital and taught at a Montessori kindergarten for 35 years where she also served as school director. She was involved for many years at the Winter Park Presbyterian Church and was an Elder, Deacon, member of the Nominating Committee, Sunday School teacher and on many other committees. Her pride and joy is her family. Husband Don (deceased), daughter Vicki (Jim), sons Steve (Lynn) and Stan. Grandchildren Matthew (Brianna), Michelle (Tommy), Robert, Lucas and Austin. Great Grandchildren Ava, Eithan, Liam and Zoey. She cherished all her friends, coworkers, brothers and sisters and extended family. Her friend and travel companion Ralph also held a special place in her heart. We want to thank the exceptional gals at Granny Nannies who helped Mom with her care and all the Hospice workers who were there for her and her family. Safe travels Mom to your final resting place. You are dearly loved and will be missed!
