Anne Chay

1917 - 2011

On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, Anne Chay, Montmartre, SK., passed away at the age of 93 years. The funeral liturgy will be held in St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Montmartre, SK., on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Ivan Derkach and Fr. Andrei Kachur concelebrating. Interment in St. Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery. Prayers will be held in the Church Sunday evening at 7:00. Anne was predeceased by her son Henry Chay in 2003 and great grandson Dustin Freestone, her parents Joseph and Mary Chay, two sisters Mary Szydloski and Katherine Hove; two half sisters Olga Hrycak and Kay Bahan. Anne is survived by two grandchildren, Dale (Joan) Chay and family Chris (Wendi) and Brandon (Janine) one great great grandson Owen Chay; Cheryl Chay and family Angela (Scott) Lishynski, Sabrina and Shawn Freestone and her nieces and nephews. Anne’s family would like to give special thanks to the Montmartre Health Centre for providing such wonderful care.
