On Sunday, October 3, 2010, Daniel Howard Sornsen, beloved husband of Sheryl Thomson, Carry The Kettle First Nation, SK., died at the age of 53 years. Daniel was predeceased by his parents George Sornsen and Lucibelle Prettyshield; two brothers Darrell McRae and David Prettyshield and one sister Crystal Prettyshield. He is survived by his wife Sheryl; one son Jaret (Tonia) Thomson, C.T.K.; one granddaughter Rory Saulteaux; two brothers Gordon Prettyshield, Montmartre (Clara) Pineridge, South Dakota and Bradley Gibbons, Crofton, B.C.; one half brother Gary Eashappie, C.T.K.; three half sisters: Gwen (Stan) Sugar, Angela (Deon) Hassler and Mary Ellen Eashappie all of C.T.K. Daniel is also survived by his aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held in the C.T.K. Band Hall on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Clark Stevenson officiating. A wake will be held at Daniel and Sheryl’s residence on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Interment in the South Cemetery, C.T.K.
