

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Grant Hawken. Doug passed away in Wolseley, Saskatchewan on the 27th of May 2025. Doug was born on October 9th, 1955 in Wolseley Memorial Union Hospital to Harold (Red) and Freida Hawken.
Doug was a devoted husband to Lorraine Hawken for 38 years.
He is survived by his step-son Dwayne (Bev) and grandkids: Erin (Darrell and Adler), Logan (Brooke), Allison (Logan); step-son Wayne (Lisa) and grandkids: Brandon, Kurtis (Michala and Riley), Layne (Falyn); step-son Dean (Heidi) and grandkids: Tyler (Danielle), Kaili (Tyler, Jane, Mckenna and Halle rest her soul), Brooke (Preston) (Zaira, Jordan, Atticus); step-daughter Jennifer (Claude) and grandkids Chase (Shelby) and Blaise (Nevaeh) and his siblings: Les (Barb), Terry (Carol) and Judy.
Doug was a farmer/truck driver all his life. He was also known for his sense of humor as he loved to tell a joke. He spent many years playing baseball, curling and hockey. He was actively involved in the plays in Corning and had a love for football.
He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
The funeral service will be held in the Corning Community Hall, Corning, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Krista Meisner officiating. Reception to follow the service. Interment in Stony Brook Cemetery.
