

WASACASE- On Thursday, December 16, 2010, George Wasacase, beloved husband of Ruth Henry, Kahkewistahaw First Nation died at the age of 73 years. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kahkewistahaw Community Complex with Pastor Brig Judy officiating. Traditional feast begins at noon. The wake will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 commencing at 4:00 p.m. Interment in Kahkewistahaw Cemetery. George was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Mina Wasacase and brother Steven Wasacase. He is survived by his wife Ruth and his children: Shawn and grandson Jacob; Dawn (Michael) and granddaughters, Hollie and Hannah; Candace (Scott) and grandsons Tyler and Leland; Troy (Danielle) and grandchildren, Alora and Slade. Step children: Janet Henry and grandson Kevin; granddaughter Cherish Henry and great granddaughter Kaira; Nowela Henry and granddaughter, Gaylene Henry; Kevin Henry; Morris (Dixie) Henry, Kirby Henry, special grandson Steven (Monique) Henry, special granddaughters, Ruthie and Zoey Henry and many more grandchildren in Edmonton, brother, Reuben (Maureen) and their son Graeme (Denise), special siblings: Colin (Margie) Wasacase; Albert (Nora) Wasacase, Laura Wasacase, sister-in-law, Marjorie Kenny and her family. George’s family graciously extend their appreciation and support to Louis and Bernice Taypotat and the medical staff of the Moosomin South East Integrated Care Centre.
