Gordon Shane Kennedy

He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth (Kenny) Kennedy & Pearly McArthur; sibling in infancy, Edith Katherine Kennedy and brothers: Roland Theras Thompson, Arron Michael Kennedy and Daniel Dakota Kennedy; maternal grandparents Joe & Gladys McArthur and paternal grandparents Agnes Kennedy (Gordon) & Joseph Daniel Kennedy.

Gordon is survived by his children Arianna McNab, Chainey Kennedy, Shane Kennedy and Shale Kennedy; grandchildren Elaysia Lashae Anaskan, & Chainey Kennedy Jr.; siblings: Derrick Saulteaux, Robin, Barry (Michelle), Keitha, Jackie (Delmar), Robert, Lynette, Patricia, Robin Standing Ready, Randy, Rayne & Sarah Longman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, his buddy Captain and many acquaintances along his travels.

The wake service was held in the Pheasant Rump Community Centre on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. The feast, followed by funeral service was held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with officiants Elder Wayne McArthur and Elder Barry Kennedy. The burial was in the McArthur Cemetery on Pheasant Rump First Nation.

The family has asked that no children attend the funeral services.
