Gordon was born on the family farm and grew up in the Neudorf area. He moved to Regina in 1961, working at the Regina Grey Nuns' Hospital as a nursing orderly, where he and Carol met, where she was in nurse's training. In 1970, he joined the Pharmaceutical Sales Team of Bristol Myers, continuing until retirement in 2002. In retirement, he enjoyed some security work for the Corp of Commissionaires.
Gordon enjoyed his family a lot and was an especially loving husband, father and grandfather. He was "Mr. Fix-It" and could usually repair almost anything and get it working again. He was an expert gardener and along with Carol spent many happy hours in their backyard garden.
