

Karen grew up in Prince Albert and graduated from St. Mary high school and continued her education in Prince Albert Business college.
Karen is survived by her mother Hilda Cyr; husband Chris Ryder (Prince Albert); children: Jan Cyr (Saskatoon), Keirstan Ryder-Cyr (Prince Albert) and Zane Ryder-Cyr (Prince Albert); sisters: Shelley (Henry) Tremblay (LaRonge) and her family: Shianne, Cory, Haylie, Brady and Jaylee (Calgary, Alberta), Jaeda Marshall (Ahtahkakoop) and Tracy and son Matt (Saskatoon); her in-laws: Sherry Ryder (CTK), Gerald Kyle (Laura) (CTK), Sylvia (Darrell) (CTK), Ian (Regina) and Alison and Jennifer (Calgary, Alberta); her special friends and family: Roger (Joanne) Lajeunesse and their daughter Brendy (Prince Albert) and special nephews and nieces: Chelsea Cyr (Prince Albert), Jeremy (Marg) Cyr, Jordan (Ladawn) Cyr and Peyton Cyr.
Karen lived a full life of love.
A wake will be held in Carry The Kettle Community Centre, Carry The Kettle Nakota Nation on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the same location on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Elder Kurt Ryder and Cecil Eashappie. The pallbearers will be Randy Burns, Micheal Ryder, Keenan Thorbun, Jordan Cyr, Justin Burns and Sundance Ryder. The interment will take place in Carry The Kettle Nakota Nation North Cemetery.
