Lawrence "Hawkie" Tanner February 14, 1953 - August 6, 2012 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our father, husband, mushum, brother, and uncle, Lawrence "Hawkie" Tanner. He was predeceased by his mother, Marybelle Tanner, father, Louis Henry, and stepmother, Leita Henry, brother Wayne Tanner and sisters, Diane Tanner, Denise, Bonnie, Judy and Leita Henry. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Valerie Tanner (Pelletier), children, Heather (Ian) and Garth Kaysaywaysemat, T.J. and Tamara Tanner, stepdaughter, Charity (Mark). Also leaves behind, special grandson Marcus Buffalo and numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brothers and sisters, Lorraine, Rudy, Dean, Sharon, Terry, Betty, Barry, Maureen, Hannah, Keith and Anna. A favorite scripture of his "I will never leave thee not forsake thee, so that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." The funeral service will be held in the Eureka Fellowship Club, 1165 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK., on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Prayers will be held in the Eureka Fellowship Club on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Interment in the Cowessess First Nation Cemetery.
