The wake will be held Friday March 9, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the residence of Duncan and Linda Thomson on Carry the Kettle First Nation. Funeral service will be held in Carry the Kettle Band Hall on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bernice Saulteaux and Donnell & Michelle Thomson officiating. Interment to follow in the South Cemetery.
Leon was predeceased by his maternal/paternal grandparents; brother Clarence and nephew Derek "Deka".
Leon is survived by his loving parents Duncan and Linda Thomson; his siblings: Myrtle (Tim), Suzie and Paula, Donnell (Michelle), Wesley and Elijah; nieces and nephews: Jared, Justyn, Kelcey, Caitlyn, Donnell Jr., Jo'ell, Madison, Kobe, Cayle, Cyril; special great niece Lily; adopted sister Kendra Hotomani; special brother Will Thomson along with their children: Andrew, Kaylum & Angel. Leon will greatly missed by many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
Leon was a devoted Toronto Maple Leaf's fan. Those who choose so may desire to wear the colors of blue or white to honor the passion that Leon had for his team.
Every person Leon crossed paths with, he touched their hearts in some way or another.
The family would like to acknowledge Leon's work family and friends from SaskEnergy in Saskatoon, SK.
Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Paul's Hospital & Royal University Hospital Oncology Unit for the kind and compassionate care shown to Leon over the past months.
