

It is with great sadness that we announce, at the age of 77, the passing of Madeline Bear (nee Delorme) on November 14, 2010. Predeceased by her loving husband Henry; children Peter and Henrietta; grandchildren: Emarie and twin babies; parents Celina and St. Pierre Delorme and step dad Theodore Delorme; brother Andrew Delorme, Hubert Delorme, sisters Eileen Caldwell, Lorna Perrault, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Bear(Henry). Survived by: Children Linda (Fred) Acoose, Margaret Bear, Lucille (Byron) Bear, Dennis (Sharyn) Bear, Mavis (Rusty) Bear, Joe (Louise)Bear, Mary Ann Bear, Loretta (Chad)Bear and adopted grandson Justin (Charmaine)Bear. Sister: Karen (Rick) Felix; Brothers: Henry (Connie) Delorme, Dennis (Leona) Delorme and Gerry Bone Delorme. 44 Grandchildren, 81 Great-grandchildren, and 11 Great-great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews to numerous to mention and special friend Emma Pratt. Madeline will be fondly remembered for her generous heart, kindness to others and her love for her children and grandchildren. Madeline always welcomed those who entered her home, the tea was always on. She was always ready to put the needs of others before her own. Madeline was always willing to listen without being judgemental. She lit up the lives of all those she touched with kindness, laughter and love. Her hobbies were sewing, bingo, reading, making bannock, spending time at Value Village, listening to her favorite music by Box Car Willie & Willie Nelson and her other name was Mrs. Fix It,““mcgyvering”” anything that needed to be fixed. The wake will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Kakisiwew School Gymnasium on the Ochapowace First Nation commencing at 4:00 p.m. A traditional feast will be held on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kakisiwew School Gymnasium, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. on Ochapowace First Nation. Interment at the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Cemetery.The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to everyone for their prayers and support during her stay in the Broadview and Regina General Hospitals.
