Mohawk was predeceased by his mother Donna Assiniboine and father Joey Chilly; kukums Hortence Watcheston and Eileen Assiniboine; mushum Donald Assiniboine and his brother Hughie Assiniboine.
He is survived by his children: Jordan, Derek, Raven Constant and Donovan Assiniboine; sisters Donalda Assiniboine and Tanya Assiniboine; adopted sister Shellena Alexson and foster parents Winston and Bernadette Walking Bear.

A wake will be held on January 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex, Ochapowace First Nation. The funeral service will take place on January 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the same location. The interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026 in the Assiniboine Watchesten Burial Grounds, Ochapowace First Nation.
