Mike Weichel

Mike Weichel was born April 11, 1928 to Martin & Rosalie (Eberle) Weichel in the Kendal District. Mike went to his heavenly home on January 5, 2025. Mike grew up on the farm and attended Silver Valley School. He married Babe (Katie) Keller on November 12, 1952 and they had two sons - Harvey and Barry. They retired to their new home in Kendal in April 1986 and moved to Montmartre in October 2013.

Mike was predeceased by his father Martin and mother Rosalie; in-laws Melchoir and Regina; brothers August and Cyriac; sister Angeline; brothers-in-law: Chris, Andy, Pete K., George, Balzar, Jake, Stanley, Pete R. and Vernon and sisters-in-law: Annie, Lena, Marion and Jeannine.

Mike is survived by his wife of 72 years, Babe; children Harvey (Patty) and Barry (Kathy); 4 grandchildren: Lyle (Lindsay), Sara (Nevin), Michael (Cassy) and Tyler (Taylor); 8 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Molly, Levi, Aria, Autumn, Theo, Aurora and Evan; sister Katie; sisters-in-law: Tess, Polly, Betty and Evelyn and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kendal, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Francis (Prince) Kurisinkal. A private interment will be held at a later date in St. Ignatius Parish Cemetery.
