

Sparvier, on Saturday, April 29th, 2011 Patricia Lynn Sparvier, (Keeweeatinohkisqwew, North Wind Woman), Sakimay First Nation passed away at the age of forty years with her family at her side. Patricia was predeceased by a daughter Shannon, a son Michael, her father Nelson Sparvier in 1980, a sister Sheila in 1995, her paternal grandparents Oliver Sparvier and Elizabeth Rabbitskin, her maternal grandparents Douglas and Mabel Pewean and her adoptive father Albert Maxay. She is survived by her daughter Kristen Sparvier and her children Rikardo and Darren; a son Charlton Louison Jr.; her mother Linda Sparvier, a sister Sonya Sparvier and a brother Adrian Sparvier; step sisters Dorothy Kay and Cheryl Maxie; adoptive mother Lorretta Maxay; adoptive sisters and brothers Elaine Maxay, Marlene Mascay, Laurie Maxay and Raymond Pewean. Also many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family too numerous to mention. A wake will be held in the Sakimay Community Complex on Wednesday, May 4th , 2011 at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Complex on Thursday, May 5th with the feast commencing at 11:00 a.m. with Elders officiating. Interment will be in the Sakimay Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Alport and the nursing staff of 4-1A, the Pasqua Hospital for their care of Patricia.
