

Ron was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and grew up on his parents farm near Balcarres. He married Chloe Pattison in 1969. They lived in Northern Saskatchewan, where they were both teachers, until 1980. During this time they had two daughters, Shelley and Rachelle and Ron completed his Bachelor of Education degree at the U of R. They then moved to Regina where Ron drove for Greyhound, Richards Transport and STC. He received the Million Mile Safe Driving Award prior to retiring from STC.
He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In earlier years he was active in curling and in later years enjoyed travelling to Mexico in the winter.
He was very proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Charles and Winnifred (Campbell) Stephens; brother Rick and dog Duke.
Ron is survived by his wife Chloe; daughters Shelley (Derrick Armstrong) and Rachelle (Dusten Gessner); grandchildren Kayla Robertson and Jackson Gessner; brother Lawrence (Shannon); sister Dorothy; sister-in-law Sheila and family dog Ruger.
As per Ron's wishes there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be scattered at a later date.
