Sidney Bevin Quibell

December 29, 1951 – September 29, 2017

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Sid; farmer, cowboy, dear friend, husband, father, and grandpa. Sid was born in Saskatoon, SK to Neville and Clara Quibell. He attended Haultain School and Aden Bowman Collegiate. Sid and his brother owned Quibell Trenchways in Saskatoon. He married Karen Duncanson in 1971. Sid and Karen had two children, Lisa (1971) and Kelly (1975). In 1978 he received his degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan and in 1979 moved to a farm near Broadview, Sk. Sid enjoyed many things in life; hunting, fishing, roping, playing guitar and singing, grandkids, and winters in Arizona.

Sid was preceded in death by his parents Neville Quibell and Clara Quibell; brothers, Arnie and Bruce, and sister, Ruby.

Sid is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Lisa Horsman (Bart) and children Chance, and Kate; son, Kelly (Jay) and children Sadie, Emily and Rudy; sisters, Colleen (Merle) Nelson and Marlene (Norm) Shatilla. Sid had many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Tubmans Funeral Home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. A celebration of Sid’s life will take place on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Community Hall in Broadview at 2 pm.
