Steve Burkowski

April 20, 1918 - October 27, 2010

On Wednesday, October 27, 2010, Steve Burkowski, Regina, SK., formerly Glenavon, SK., died at the age of 92 years. Steve's life included dairy and mixed farming. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, old time music, animals and was also very handy with building and repairs. Steve's Catholic faith was important to him. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Glenavon, SK., on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Aguinaldo Fermo. Prayers will be held in the church Sunday evening at 7:00. Interment in the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary R.C. Parish Cemetery, Glenavon. Predeceased by his step father John and mother Xenia (Tena); sister Mary Richards; step sisters Katie Hozempa and Anne Mytopher; granddaughter Dawn Englot; sons-in-law Kelly Maccan and Jim Wightman. Steve is survived by his wife Rose; children: Carol Maccan, Margaret (Julien) Englot, Marilyn Wightman, Linda Burkowski, Debbie (Darryl) Callfas, Larry Burkowski, Ron (Lorie) Burkowski; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as a sister-in-law Emilie Hozempa.
