

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, nana and friend - one special lady! Born in River Falls, WI to Herbert and Gladys Schulte. Her siblings: Don, Wayne, Carol and Sandy
She grew up in Hammond, WI on the family farm until moving to St. Paul to attend beauty school.
Occupation: Licensed Beautician. Owner of Arlene's Hair Fashions on the East Side of St. Paul for over 40 years. Then ran hair salon in the Woodbury Villa Estate for approximately ten years. Resided in St. Paul, MN on Dora Lane for most of her life. Married Roger Holden on October 4, 1969 and they had children, Pamela Holden and Bradley Holden. Grandchildren: Jack Webber, Kayla Webber and Vivian Holden.
Arlene enjoyed picking out and sending greeting cards, reading books, watching movies, buying and planting flowers each spring, preparing for and celebrating birthdays and holidays. Experiences: seeing the Night Before Christmas at the Guthrie Theatre, eating dinner on a train, a dog sled ride, a night in a hotel on Mackinac Island, MI and a horse drawn carriage ride. A family trip by Amtrack to WI Dells. Mom enjoyed ensuring we had enough food, clothing, lessons, experiences; we never went without.
Mom also taught us responsibility, manners, respect, not giving up, caring for others, forgiveness, selflessness. Mom was indeed a very special lady and her love and smile will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to service, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125
