Diane Marie Elverson Kindem

Age 47, succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic bike accident on September 28, 2011. She grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a B.A. in Finance. She worked in insurance before obtaining a position initially as a pharmaceutical representative with Astra Zeneca in 1993. She loved and was passionate about her job with Astra, and her position grew and changed throughout her career. She was a very loving person, vibrant and active with a tremendous enthusiasm for life. She was an avid cyclist and was devoted to her husband, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Elverson and is survived by her husband Mikal; father Vernon Elverson; siblings Curtis, Susan Hewitt, and Andrea; her beloved nephews and nieces; and many cousins and extended family. She loved and was loved by many who will miss her greatly. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4pm - 8pm at Gearhart Funeral Home in Coon Rapids, 11275 Foley Blvd NW. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 2pm with visitation one hour prior at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Road, Woodbury, MN. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery in Maplewood. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Diane Kindem Memorial Fund. 651-738-9615
