Don’s life story.
Don had a passion for life’s simple pleasures—fishing, playing cards, and traveling. He especially cherished the adventures he shared with his late wife, Carolyn Tufte. Together, they explored new places, at times bringing family along to experience the wonders of travel. His greatest joy was sharing these experiences with others, ensuring that everyone felt included in the adventure and in life’s conversations.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Don loved deeply and smiled often. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, effortlessly drawing others into conversation and brightening every room he entered.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Ingebrit and Helen Tufte, beloved wife, Carolyn Tufte, and daughter Lori Wilson.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Shelley (Jon) Wold; his son-in-law John (Julie) Wilson, his cherished grandchildren Jamie (Jason) Cain, Josh (Lauren) Wold, Heidi (Mike) Tesfaye, and Rebekah (Harrison) Wold Defries, as well as numerous great grandchildren and friends.
