Passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Doris was an Emergency Room Nurse at Regions Hospital, formerly Ancker and Ramsey Hospital for more than 30 years. She was an amazing seamstress. Doris loved to dance, winter in Florida, golf, and spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Robert; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Julius Korte; and brother, Tom Branum. Doris will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Greg; children, Terri (Ken) Atzmiller, Marilee (Tim) Wallrich, Anne Runnings, John (Sheri) and Matt (Sarah); grandchildren, Charlie, Luke, Maria, Katelyn, James, Joe, Emma, Grace, Ryan, Claire, Nick, Isabel, and Nate; brothers, Bill and Butch (Barb) Branum; sister, Lois (Dennis) Moravec; and sister-in-law, Madeline (Dan) Colberg. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Stonecrest Assisted Living in Woodbury for taking such good care of Doris. Thank you also to Optage Hospice who made her comfortable for the last days of her life. Visitation Thurs., July 7 from 4-7 PM. Memorial Mass will be Friday, July 8 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior all at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Community, 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury. Inurnment at Guardian Angels Cemetery, Oakdale. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association.
