Eldon Ronald Jensen

Passed away on May 24th, 2017 at his new home in Oakdale, MN.

He was born on November 25th, 1928 near Bryant, SD to parents Harry and Anna Katrina (Gronkjaer) Jensen. He was baptized at the Dansk Lutheran Church at Badger, SD and confirmed at the Hayti Lutheran Church in Hayti, SD. He was raised in Hayti and educated at the Hayti Public School, graduating in 1947. He met Joanne Paulson in Hayti and they married on November 8th, 1957 at the Hayti Lutheran Church. They lived in Hayti for four years then moved to Tyler, MN where they lived for ten years. In 1971 they moved to Worthington, MN where they lived until their recent move to Oakdale, MN on May 19, 2017. Eldon worked for Farmers’ Oil Cooperatives for 41 years. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Eldon is survived by his wife Joanne, his children Janell Gielser (Glenn), Tracy Jensen, and Jason Jensen (Heidi), and grandchildren Jake Giesler, Jessi Jensen, and Kaija Jensen. The funeral will be at American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN on Friday, June 2nd at 11 am with visitation one hour prior. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wulff Funeral Home in Woodbury, MN. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be considered for the American Lutheran Church Parish Education Fund (Worthington, MN).
