She was affectionately referred to as 'Elli', 'ElliBelly' by her dad, 'Pez' and other special nicknames that aligned with her adventurous, curious and kind personality. She claimed Christ as her Savior at a young age and publicly professed as being a follower of Christ at her baptism in 2019 (age 9).
Elli was captivated by God’s creatures both great and small including spiders, butterflies, frogs, fish, mice, gerbils, hamsters, snakes, birds, turtles, rabbits, cats, dogs and horses. Her inquisitiveness about animals extended to fishing, collecting bird feathers and animal bones. Drawings and clay statues of animals she made and imaginative creatures lined her bedroom walls. She enjoyed making music, having composed several songs on the piano and also learning Spanish.
Her confidence in Christ gave her no fear in death and she desired all that Heaven offered, even at such a young age. She looked forward to seeing her sister, Naomi in Heaven as well as her grandmother, Priscilla; and her aunt, Dolly. Elliana will be greatly missed by friends from school and the neighborhood. She is survived by her parents, David and Sherri; siblings, Andrew (wife Kara), Rachel and Sarah; birth-mother, Veronica; grandparents, Bruce Rene’, and Harold and Ingrid Carpenter; birth-grandparent, Les (wife Janet); as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins that all loved her so much.
Visitation will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church, 5495 S Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077, on Friday, March 29th, 2024 at 9:30 AM followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Acacia Park Cemetery will follow, 2151 Pilot Knob Rd, Mendota Heights, MN.
