Obituario de Gary R. Williams
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home

Gary R. Williams, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona.

Gary was born on September 17, 1936, in Mankato, Minnesota, where he was raised by his parents, Harold and Ruth Williams (both deceased). On December 28, 1957, he married the love of his life, Janet Williams (Mead), and together they shared 67 years of marriage filled with family, faith, and adventure.

After serving proudly in the United States Marine Corps, Gary began a career working as an appliance salesman for Montgomery Ward. His talent and charisma made him a top performer, and he and Jan enjoyed many award trips, including memorable travels to Italy, The Bahamas, and Mexico. He later transitioned into real estate, where he found his niche in custom homebuilding. Over the years, building and moving into new homes became a way of life for Gary and Jan, and each one reflected his craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Gary was known for his joyful spirit, his love of fun, and his ability to brighten a room. His warmth, good humor, and easygoing nature were gifts to all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet; their children: Kandi Williams, Bret Williams (Mary Unes), Heidi Sammon (Dan), and Tiffni Deeb (Dan); and by his cherished grandchildren: Nikki Syring (Chad), Brittni Usher (Al), DJ Sammon (Casey), Katie Sammon (Adam Stirn), Andy Sammon (Jenny), Dominic Williams, and Sophia Williams. Gary was also a proud great-grandfather to Griffin, Gabby, Jordyn, Mara, Colby, Addy, and Jacob.

He is also survived by his brother, Ken Williams (Coralee), and brother-in-law, Ken Mead (Cindy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Williams, and his in-laws, Frank and Luella Mead.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Clarendale of Chandler and Sage Hospice for their compassionate care of Gary and Jan over the past year.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a visitation in honor of Gary R. Williams on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at:
