She grew up in Louisa and after graduation from Louisa High School in 1952 moved to Westerville, OH to join the rest of her family. Jean was employed by Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio from 1952-1957.
She met the love of her life Robert “Lowell” Morris Christmas 1951 when he was in the Navy. They were married June 4, 1955 at Central College Presbyterian Church, Westerville, Ohio.
They literally built their first home in Grove City Ohio in 1956. Their lives were blessed when they welcomed their daughter Valerie Sue in 1957 and their son Craig Lowell in 1961. Jean felt very blessed to have a daughter and a son.
In 1965 the family moved to Woodbury, MN when there were only 3 housing developments (Woodbury Heights, Park Hills & Royal Oaks). In 2002, they moved to Florida to enjoy golf year round and many cruises around the world! However, Woodbury called them back in 2011 to be near family and friends.
Jean and Lowell were very blessed to have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2015 before he died in November 2015. Jean always wanted to treat people with kindness and thoughtfulness; treat people the way you would want to be treated. Her family came first.
After the loss of her beloved Lowell, Jean moved to St. Therese of Woodbury Senior Community where she developed new friends and fellowship that were all in the same stage of life.
