Passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2013. Loving Mother to Jean (Prueter) Butler & Julie (Prueter) Bergstedt; Grandmother to Special Grandsons: Matthew, Jacob & Adam Butler and Andrew Bergstedt; Loving Sister to David (Karen) Muckenhirn & Robert Muckenhirn. Joan was a retired State of Minnesota Department of Education employee, who loved her travels to the North Shore - embracing nature & her passion for fishing. She loved visiting with family, spending time with pets (Joe Joe, Titan & Khan), gardening, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. She was an inspiration to many. Extended family & friends of all ages will miss her caring, sharing & kindness. Her loyal, fun, & dedicated friendship was a gift that will never be forgotten. Special Thanks to Dr. Kevin Kelly, Cheryl Kopp, Bruce & Diana Hamrick, Stephanie Ehlers, Marie Lecurgo, & her Strates Farm Neighbors, who graciously & unselfishly walked this declining path with her. She held a very special thought for each of you in her heart. Go Fish 4 Eternal Life. We love you. Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 10 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 Hudson Blvd N, Oakdale. Visitation one hour prior.
