Judy cherished her loving husband Earl and the precious gift of each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mom grew up in the U.P. (Hancock, MI) and our family has memories of our regular 330-mile treks thru Spooner & Hayward to visit Judy’s sister Elna, the Niemela family & Judy’s mother (Grandma Romberg). Amid Judy and Earl’s various moves from the Lake Nokomis area to Woodbury to Richfield, to Cottage Grove and then back to Woodbury, she engaged in the community with friends and family. She was willing to help with her grandchildren and treasured her time with them. Judy had the gift of hospitality and loved to host gatherings in their home, from coffees and dinners to Bridge groups and holiday parties. Judy was a generous giver and took boundless joy in passing out little gifts, ginger cookies or banana bread to friends, neighbors, the painter, or technician coming to the house. She was active in church, attended BSF and enjoyed volunteering with Earl in their later years with Meals on Wheels. In their late eighty’s Judy and Earl moved to Assisted Living and recently into Long Term Care. As Judy was declining in health, she expressed her desire to be with her Lord and Savior. She died suddenly and peacefully under the loving care of the staff at Norris Square in Cottage Grove.
