He is preceded in death by his sisters Carol (Michael) Bebermeier, Sueann (Mike) Taylor, and Marcia (Rolf) DeRouin.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Lorenz (Kelly Greene); his partner and best friend Jayne Schifsky; his two children, Alison Lorenz (McKenzie Robida) and Aaron Lorenz; his many nieces and nephews; and many more relatives and friends.
Kevin was born September 1, 1959 in Hayward, WI to the late William and Francis (Stolz) Lorenz. He spent his early life in Hayward, Stanley, and New Richmond. He excelled at trumpet in high school band, even performing for President Jimmy Carter at his inauguration in 1977. (It turns out Jayne also played for President Carter at a different event. No wonder they matched so well!)
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Stout, Kevin moved to Minnesota, where he had a long and storied career at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. Over his 36 years at Revenue, Kevin met Jayne and many close friends. He was often sought out to provide insight and guidance, with many referring to him as the Revenue Walking Dictionary. He also loved to spend time with his family, in particular visiting his sisters, nieces and nephews in Wisconsin every summer.
Kevin will be remembered for his humor and quick wit, and his helping hand. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
