Leona Fay Mason

Passed away May 5, 2015 in Woodbury, MN. Leona was born January 17, 1925 in Anselmo, NE to Kenneth and Ester Einspahr and attended the Anselmo schools. She married Robert Mason on August 30, 1941 in Broken Bow, NE. They moved to North Platte, NE in 1942. While Robert was in the army from 1944-1946, she lived with her parents in Redfield, SD. They moved back to North Platte in 1946 and lived there until Robert’s death. Leona went to live with her daughter in Minnesota in 2009. Survivors include three children, Robert Dwaine (Sue) Mason of North Platte, NE; Kenneth Lee (Marci) Mason of Turtle Creek, PA; and Mona Dee (Roger) Hayashi of Woodbury, MN; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters and several nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Mason; her son Douglas Ray Mason; and her sisters Della Fertig and Alberta Moeller. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 9, 2015 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Cremation was chosen. Wulff – Woodbury Funeral Home of Woodbury, Minnesota is serving the family.
