

Margaret “Mickey” C. Buechner, 92 passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021. She was born in St. Paul, the daughter of the late George F. & Veronica “Violet” (Mircea) Knoph. She was the widow of the late Eugene W. Buechner and the sister of the late George F. “Sonny” Knoph, and Anna M. (Knoph) Koston and grandmother of the late Katie Smith (Wasmundt). Mickey and Eugene married on 30 March 1946 and she enjoyed a happy and long life as a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her large family, reading, visiting the library, needle arts, home decorating and gardening. She was a devout member of the Roman Catholic church and for many years attended the now closed Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in St. Paul.
To cherish her memory, she is survived by 5 daughters and one deceased: Paula Petersen, Holly Currence (Bob), Susan Wasmundt, Jean Weddle (Kevin), Mary Ann (deceased), and Aimee Falk (Bob). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Lisa Jirovec, Christie Eberhardt, Janet Fox (Sean), Carrie Woitas (Jason), Anne Halliwell (Matt), Veronica, and Alexandra Falk. She has 6 great grandchildren: Christian Jirovec, Jacob Eberhardt, Taylor Roen, Kayla and Jeremy Fox, and Charles E. Halliwell.
Visitation Wed., February 3, 5-7 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Chapel, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial Thurs., February 4 at 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, immediate family only.
