Michael Joseph Fritz

Michael was a resident of Oakdale, Minnesota. He was the beloved son of Joseph and Antoinette (Vannelli) Fritz. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Joan Elizabeth (Cooney) Fritz, whom he married on November 21, 1959.

He leaves behind his cherished children: Timothy (Elizabeth), Terrance, Debra (Steven) Kurz, and Danial (Kristine). Michael was a proud grandfather to Joseph and Matthew Fritz; Michael (Nicole) Fritz and Bradley Fritz; Robert (Katie) Kurz, Katie (David) Uetz, Matthew (Kirsten) Kurz, Michael (Jessica) Kurz, Kellie (Tyler) Syring; Kyle (Megan) Fritz and Zachary Fritz. He was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his sister, Joanne O’Keefe. He attended Cretin High School, graduating in 1955, and continued his education at the College of St. Thomas, graduating in 1959.

In his professional life, Michael worked in the field of accounting and finance, with employers including Cosmopolitan State Bank, First Trust, and Norwest/Wells Fargo. He was a respected member of the St. Anthony’s Society.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
