Even now almost a year later I miss you just as much as I did then. you left a lot untold for this world & the people who cared for you in it. I hope everything is going well up there, keep an eye on  your family, they still need you more than ever. Love you nels

We have definitely lost a light from the world.

Nels we've had our ups & down throuhghout the years, you always seemed to pull me throu my hard times. & I only wish I could've pulled you throu yours. Your an original, one of those people that everyone remembers. I hope those in heaven are enjoying you as much as we miss you here. love&miss you sosooso much nels. -

nels was a really good man and stuff and there was only one person that nels really knew and that had to be my brother and nels would never be forgotten no matter wat happens and i  will never forget himmmm :(

It is with great sadness to hear of your loss.  I did not know Nels and feel a sadness of the lost opportunity.  I believe our heavenly father does not give us anything we cannot handle and it is at these times when it is really hard to believe.  We need to stay strong and move forward while we remember and embrace the past and all those we have had the blessing to share our lives with.

       I cannot begin to understand what you are going through. i hope you find solace in knowing that your son was one of the kinder people ive come across while we spent years together at Tilden. He will be deeply missed. I didnt have the opportunity to see Nels many times after elementary school but his giggle is one i wont forget. He was always kind and treated me and everyone i knew with the most respect. You will truly be missed Nels. Your fellow Tilden Tiger, Alyssa.

Nels was my cousin. I remember being younger and being at Uncle Donny's house when you and Halsted and Libby were there. I will miss you and you will always be remembered. You are with Shawn and Grandpa and Grandma now.

To the family of Nels, I am so sorry for loss of your precious Nels. I pray it gives you some comfort in knowing you will reunite with him again someday.

Nels was with Cory at my house many times
when we were in Hastings. Our thoughts will be with you. May god be with you during these tough times,and always. His memories will live on in our hearts.

I did not know Nels, however, Halsted is a dear friend to my son (Geoffrey).  I cannot tell you how sorry I am Halsted to you and your family.  My heart aches for you.  Please know that people care for you and that your family is thought about and prayed for.

It is so hard to grasp what has happened.  It seems it was not long ago when I held him for the first time the night he came home from the hospital. He was such a happy little boy.  He is now free and happy again with his grandparents watching over him.  I pray that the love from friends and family will help you get through this awful time.
