Cindy and family I'm so sad and sorry for your loss. Its a loss to anyone that was lucky enough to have Rick in their life.
Rick always had a joke to tell and always brought a smile everyone's life.

I worked as a Special Education teacher while Rick was at Highwood Hills. He used to dress up every year as Santa and come into the classroom.  The kids got so excited.  He was so good to those kids, finding boxes so they could go sliding, coming up with gadgets for them to use. He always made them feel special. 

We always enjoyed hearing his hunting and fishing stories.  He would often bring in fish for the staff to try.

Rick was a good guy.  He will missed by many.

Rick leaves an unforgettable mark on Red Indian Campground and all his friends here. Growing up with "the Hadd boys" was anything but dull. As an adult, I don't know what I will miss more - his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, or the way he made room for everyone in his big, big heart.  My heart goes out to the whole family.

Rick was a great friend an brother in law! I remember all the great times we had hunting fishing an working together spending time up north an the way he could make everyone around him laugh I know he will be missed by all I wish I would've been able to hang with him some more. RIP my condolences to the family.

I had an awesome childhood growing up in Oakdale. The entire  Hadd family played a huge role in this. Rick was a special guy from a special family. My BEST childhood memories will include Rick's antics...funny as hell, mischievous, and areally COOL DUDE!! I tell my kids the stories to this day. He will last in my memories forever.

Rick was the best!  I knew him for many years where he served the staff and students at Highwood Hills in so many ways.  He would joke that I would become president someday and he would be my VP because we pontificated on the world's issues at the end of a long teaching day.  I remember his support at the loss of our colleague, Scott Gilles.  The 3 of us would chum around looking out the windows for deer.  I know he and Scott are out looking together right now looking out for all sorts of animals on a grand adventure.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fun memories of Rick. He sure did leave way too soon.

 Rick was a teddy bear with an enormous heart. One of my favorite memories of him was getting in trouble at school and on the bus for repeating the nasty jokes I overheard him tell at our holiday gatherings. He definitely  shaped the sense of humor I have today. I will miss him dearly.

Ricky was my neighbor and my best friend my whole life. I have over 50 years of memories with him. He was one of a kind He loved family friends fishing hunting. He was there for me whenever I needed him. The Memories We Made I will hold dear forever. RIP RICKY MY FRIEND !!!

It's been many years since I've seen Rick but I always remember him, my foster brother, and the rest of my foster family.  God's peace be with the Hadd family at this sad time.  Rest in peace, Rick

So sorry for your family's loss. Rick was a wonderful and funny man. He will be missed at the cabin and at hunting. RIP Rick, gone but not forgotten.

Rick was my friend. I spent time fishing with him we got to know each other over the years working together and enjoying talking about sports.  He was always there for everyone who needed help with anything.  He will be missed.  So sorry for the loss - his time was too short on this earth.

Rick was my cousin.  My favorite memory of him is teaching me how to fish.  We would go out in a boat on the lake where the Hadds went camping and he would show me how to bait a hook, how to take a fish off the hook, where to catch bass, etc.  Sometimes all we would have for bait was a can of corn, other times we would dig for worms.  If we were really lucky we would catch frogs for the bass.  He was always very patient with me.  I also remember how he would tell a lot of jokes.  None of them can be repeated here.  I'll miss you, Rick!

We had a lot of good memories that I get to hang onto. You were the best person I knew. You had a heart of gold Dad. I wish you had more time on this earth with us, but I will love and miss you forever.

It's been many years since we were kids growing up across the street from each other, but I still have many memories of those days! Rest in peace, and many prayers for your family!
