You can see how much fun these siblings had with one another.

We offer our deepest condolences. Rita will be missed.  We first meet Rita, Bob and family in the early 80's when we bought their home from them. They were so good to us. Welcomed us to the Lake Elmo neighborhood. Very good neighbors and friends while we started our family. When the flowers bloomed in our yard, Rita would always tell me how beautiful they were.  She had planted them when she lived there.  Liz would baby sit our baby daughter every so often. Time passes but the memories of such a wonderful family will always be in our hearts. Peace to you all.

Rita will be so missed in our group of Boat People who have been getting together regularly since about 1966.  We did several houseboat trips on MN lakes, hence our moniker.  Rita was a special mentor and friend to me when we moved next door to the Schoenecker family in Lake Elmo.  We were new parents, and Rita and Bob were experienced parents.  She and I had coffee often, talked about all personal things, not much about world events because we were focused on our families and not working (outside the home) at the time.  The best advice Jack remembers from Bob was that if the kids were bored or getting into mischief, you send them out to clean the garage.  I learned many things from Rita about not over- reacting or over-mothering.  She was a good friend, a calm and steady presence in my life.  It saddens me to not be with her anymore in this world, but gives me joy that she is with her beloved Bob.  Sally (and Jack) Evert

A very special lady!  She always had a smile whenever I saw her.  I am so very sorry to learn of her passing.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

We have so many fond memories over the last about 65 years of all the fun family things we all did together: camping trips, canoe trips, picnics, celebrations, as well as very sad times we all shared together.  God truly blessed you kids and all of us when He gave us Rita. Now she is with Him in Heaven and looking down on you. So sorry we can't be with you during this difficult time. God bless all of you. Rita, you will be missed by me and my family.  I enjoyed all the talks about Grandma and Grandpa, the "old' neighborhood, and of my father, and laughing my can off listening to you and Deloris joke and banter back and forth.  Although we are sad now, we know that you are once again with Uncle Bob, my dad, Donna, and the rest of the family that have passed on.   May Peace Be With You.

So very sorry to hear about Rita.  We've been friends since 1st grade and have been meeting every month for lunch for several years.  What a dear friend.  How I'm going to miss her.
