Ron, beloved husband, father, grandpop, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away in his sleep of natural causes. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was a lifelong Minnesotan. Born to Rich and Shirl Trebesch, Ron was the fourth of ten kids.
Ron received his diploma from Woodbury High School. He attended college at the University of Minnesota and South Dakota State University, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. While in college, Ron started working at 3M and never left. He loved his work, which is something that not everyone can say. Ron received several awards during his career at 3M, most notably the Circle of Excellence Award.
Aside from work, Ron loved to play golf with friends and family, ride his bike (first in Cynthiana, Kentucky, then with the Loon State Cyclists here in Minnesota). He also enjoyed hunting and fishing up North at the family cabin as well as in South Dakota on an annual pheasant hunting trip. Snowmobiling with his brother and nephews was another of his favorite pastimes, and he also loved his annual ski trips with his high school friends in Montana and his son and his uncle’s family in Utah.
Ron married Eileen, his high school sweetheart, and they were married for thirty-three years. Family was the most important thing to Ron. Together, Eileen and Ron raised their kids Noah, Maddie, Cody, and Shannon; one of the biggest joys of Ron’s life was becoming Grandpop to Jordyn and Carter. Some of his best memories were made on weekend trips up to the family cabin. He spent many summers with his family on road trips out West, camping in the Boundary Waters, visiting Walt Disney World, and on annual trips to Ocean City, New Jersey, with the Robb side of the family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Eileen; children Noah, Maddie, Shannon (Nick), Cody; grandchildren Jordyn and Carter; Ron’s siblings Dick, Sue (Dean), Deb (Russ), Mary (Tom), John (Elissa), Annette (Todd), Barb, Paul; Eileen’s parents Chuck and Kathy; Eileen’s siblings Kathy, Chuck (Emily), Kelly (Jim); nieces and nephews James, Tony, Jake (Erin), Jen, Reyna, Zach (Jenna), Marina, Linnea, Lucia, Tim, Jenna, Ryan, Taylor, JonAaliyah, Liam, Holly (John), Olivia, Ben, Sam, Ellie, Emma, Annie, Jack, Megan, Jacob, Ella, Max, Jackson, Hunter; great nieces and nephews Hudson, Odette, Leni, Calvin, Etta; godparents Aunt Karen and Uncle Gerald; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
