Ronald Lloyd Wilkens

He was born on May 29, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN. He went on to graduate from Goodridge High School and later attended business school.

Ronald married Elizabeth Bushy on August 2, 1969 and welcomed their daughter, Lindsay in 1977.

Ron was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and worked a variety of places while living in Grand Forks, ND. Most notably Agsco, Ag Depot, and The Alerus Center. After moving to Woodbury, MN in 2011, he enjoyed working at The Xcel Energy Center and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was passionate about his gardens and had the ability to make friends wherever he went.

He will be missed deeply by his wife Elizabeth, and daughter Lindsay (Kevin) Peters, grandchildren, Natalie and Cade Peters, sisters, Sherry Johnson, Laurie (Gary) Mathisen, and brother Donald (Gail) Wilkens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Dorothy Wilkens, grandparents, and brother-in-law, Gary Johnson.

Celebration of Life will be held on July 15th from 2-4pm at his home in Woodbury, MN. Another will be held in Grand Forks, ND on July 31st at First Presbyterian Church from 1-4pm.
