Preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Elizabeth and siblings Barbara and John. Survived by siblings: Bob (Janette) Martin, Helen (Rick) Swanson, Kathleen (Don) Cinfo, Judy (Mark) Kane and Elizabeth Sauvageau. Fr. Bill was ordained June 3, 1978, and served at the following parishes: St. Margaret Mary, Golden Valley as pastor, Christ the King, Minneapolis as Assistant Pastor. He then served as pastor at St. Mary’s, Waverly, Guardian Angels, Oakdale, and St. Richard’s, Richfield. For many years he was chaplain for the Twin Cities Cursillo groups.
A kind and gentle priest, he was a scripture scholar and a very accomplished organist and soloist. Classical music was his hobby.
Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Visitation one hour prior to service, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale, MN 55128. A luncheon will immediately follow mass at church.
