William Harold Rengstorf

William Harold Rengstorf, Jr., of Woodbury MN, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. He was born in Vesta, Minnesota on January 25, 1932 to Mabel and William Rengstorf. Bill graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1950, attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, and graduated from the University of Minnesota. He married Darlene Kuck on September 29, 1956. They had four challenging daughters. While raising their daughters, Bill worked as a sales rep, selling the first overhead projectors and copiers (thermo-fax machines) for 3M. He entered the investment business in 1972, as an Investment Executive for Dain, Kalman & Quail. He went on to retire from Piper Jaffray. Bill and Darlene were active members of Zion Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove where he served on the church council. Bill is survived by his wife, Darlene, and his sister, Dorothy Henke. Also, his daughters: Heidi (David) Schumacher, Holly Rengstorf, Heather (Bill) Grillo, and Hillary Rengstorf. He leaves five grandchildren: Laura, Sally, Elli, Bill, and Jon; and 2 great-grandchildren: twins James and Patrick. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 3 siblings, and a much-grieved for infant grandson, Frank Vincenzo Grillo. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7th at 11:00, with visitation at 10:30 at Woodbury Lutheran Church (7380 Afton Road, Woodbury, MN).
