With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to Frank Santillan Lupercio. Frank was born in Woodlake, California on 10/5/35, and after 85 wonderful years, passed away peacefully at home on 5/10/21 surrounded by family. Of those 85 years, he was a lifelong resident of the community he loved, Woodlake, CA. As part of the community, he was the owner of F.L. Bookkeeping, where he provided tax preparation, payroll, and bookkeeping services for over 40 years. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce where he was active in community events and was also awarded the Woodlake lifetime achievement award by the Kiwanis Club in 2012.
Anyone who knew Frank, knew he was a diehard sports fan. His favorite team was the SF 49ers, but he also loved the LA Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Fresno State bulldogs. Most of all, he loved the Woodlake Tigers. For over 50 years, you could find Frank sitting in the bleachers with friends or family, under the Friday night lights, watching the High School football games.
Frank was a devoted and amazing father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He, and his wife Ramona, loved being surrounded and spending time with his family and friends at get-togethers or events. Frank and Ramona loved to dance, especially the New Year’s eve dance at the Woodlake Memorial building. He loved camping and traveling to new places. If the Bar-B-Que was not at his house, it would be at a family member’s house. He was happiest when he was with his grandchildren and watching cowboy movies on TV. Frank was proud to be married by the Catholic Church and looked forward to the day covid restrictions were removed so he could attend church in person again. His love of life came through his laughter - it will be missed.
He is survived by and sadly leaves behind his best friend and companion – his wife Ramona Lupercio of Woodlake. Sons: Daniel Lupercio (Maria) of Woodlake, Robert Lupercio (Rosie) of Elk Grove, Paul Coronado (Alicia) of San Diego. Daughters: Delia Lupercio of Fresno, Veronica Lupercio of Fresno, Laura Lupercio (Michael) of Visalia, Monica Coronado of Woodlake, Catherine (Michael) Raygoza of Stockton. Frank also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He adopted two of his grandchildren, Adam Lupercio and Julia Lupercio, upon the death of their mother. He is also survived by his sisters Ramona Wilson, Laura (Edward) Leon and brother Enis Lupercio. Frank had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss him.
Frank was the eighth child of eleven brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents Andres and Estefana Lupercio. Siblings: Theodosia Lupercio, Eufemia Sierra, Nestor Lupercio, Lillian Medina, Clifford Lupercio, Anthony Lupercio, Gabriella Lupercio. Daughters: Alice Lupercio, Carol Coronado.
