Ofelia Maria Esquivel

Ofelia was born in Tulare, California on December 15, 1958 to Abundio and Ubaldina Esquivel. She was raised and educated in Woodlake, graduating from Woodlake High School in 1978. Ofelia was a kind and generous person with a very sweet personality. She loved to watch her nieces and nephews and cared for them as if they were her own. Ofelia was an avid sports fan – football was her favorite and the San Francisco 49er’s was her team. She was the family sport informant and kept everyone up to date on their teams. Ofelia loved her dog, Tiny. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ofelia was preceded in death by her parents, Abundio and Ubaldino; her sister, Mary Medina; her brother, Armando Esquivel; her nieces, Maggie Martinez and her half-brother, Abundio Esquivel, Jr.

Shei s survived by her brother, Frank Lopez (Mary) of Visalia, CA; three sisters, Sally Martinez of Woodlake, CA, Yolanda Trevino (Eugene) of Woodlake, CA and Dora Yanez (Arturo) of Orosi, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel in Woodlake on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 2 – 6 p.m. Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. also at Miller Memorial Chapel of Woodlake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 9 a.m. with burial at the Woodlake District Cemetery immediately following.
